THIS BODY OF WORK IS INFORMING AN ANIMATED AUTOETHNOGRAPHIC STUDY AND FILM.
My Paternal Grandparents, Elizabeth and Francis Martins moved to London from Lagos in the 1940s during the British colonial rule to study. My Grandfather studied electrical engineering. They bought a house in Paddington and shortly after, started a family. Soon after giving birth to my Father and his twin sister, they moved back to Lagos. They passed away when my Father was very young, leaving my great Grandmother to raise my Father and his siblings. My Mother and Father returned to West London in 1985.
